Decided to do some spring cleaning of my Blog as it never really got started, out with the old and in with the new!

I’ve just got a Panasonic Lumix GX1 as a travel light take almost every where camera. The picture quality is very good and I can use my Nikon lenses via a cheap adapter from eBay (didn’t feel I needed to get one which was compatable with G series lenses; ones without aperture ring, these cost more and would only replicate the kit lens). Here is a close-up of a spring flower (don’t ask me what it is) using the adapter and a 50mm f/1.8 Ai-s lens with a close-up filter attached. The image was processed in Lightroom to emphasise the white and to bleach it out to white at the edges of the frame.
